Join us on the 3rd Thursday of every month for a casual 'meet and greet' at 6:30pm in the Yellow Rose Tea Room located in the lobby of  St. John's Women and Children's Center to hear about how a doula can support you and your family during pregnancy, labor, delivery and beyond.  We are happy to answer any questions you and your partner may have about our doula services. It's a great time to get acquainted and learn about how we can best support YOU!

This workshop is not required for certification, but it is highly recommended. It's a great opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge, receive experienced support and meet other doulas to create new personal and professional relationships.
 
* If you wish to certify with Madriella, you will need to register separately with Madriella and take the online exam. The cost is $75 to be paid directly to Madriella. You will then have access to their complete birth doula curriculum, which we will be covering in this workshop.

 Pain-coping Techniques for Labor and Birth Class
​June 21, 28 and July 5 from 6:00-8:15 pm 

This 3 part class will utilize Birthing From Within strategies to help couples build a pain-coping mindset while practicing useful techniques for working through the intensity of childbirth. 

Cost: $125 per couple.

Doula Training June 25-26th
Presented by Doulas of Springfield, Illinois. 

This training weekend is designed for people who want to start on the path to become professional doulas (charging for their services) or to enhance their skill at supporting loved ones during their labor and birth experience.  Our goal is to strengthen the skills, knowledge and professional relationships of doulas practicing in the Central Illinois area.
 
The workshops are intended to be taken together, but you may choose to attend one or both depending on your training needs.  We will be covering a wide range of topics over the course of the weekend.

This workshop  covers the deeper heart of doula service and is designed to address both the personal and professional concerns of a newly practicing doula.  We are including two 1-hour post-training conference calls to be used within 1 year of the workshop, because we strongly believe that new doulas need the mentoring support of experienced doulas. $150
